I cannot thank God enough for placing Kendra in the room with my grandmother. To better understand my gratitude, I must first explain the family dynamic with my grandmother. I was her primary caregiver for the three years since her health declined. Other family support was scarce if any at all. I was her POA, but when her status took a turn for the worse many family members came to see her. Kendra was so kind and understanding of the family dynamic.
Kendra was very helpful in answering my many questions about what to handle after grandma passes. Being her POA at the age of 21, I had many questions about insurance, funeral, etc. All of which Kendra answered or directed me to the right person. All of this may sound like she was just doing her job but to me, it was much more than that.
Kendra showed utmost professionalism while maintaining a very approachable down to earth demeanor. I am currently in nursing school and will graduate in May. I hope to be an amazing nurse just like Kendra someday.
In one 12 hour shift she exemplified countless times not only what it means to be a nurse, but an Extraordinary Nurse.
