February 2018 Honoree
kendra perry, RN
I was admitted to the labor and delivery unit to deliver our daughter who had passed away. Kendra was the first nurse we encountered during our stay. She was so kind to us and treated us like we were her family. One of the first things she asked was our daughter's name, this meant so much to us. After just losing our daughter, we wanted to make sure she wouldn't be forgotten. Kendra called our daughter by her name the entire time we were there and let us know she mattered. She made me feel like I was her only patient, even though I know she was busy.
She was not our nurse the next day, but she took time to come and see us and gave me the biggest hug. She truly is an amazing nurse and she made a difficult and traumatic time for us a little bit easier to bear.

Thank you, Kendra, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
