Kennah Delozier, RN

Kennah is by far one of the most excellent nurses I have ever come in contact with! Keenah was my daughter, C's, nurse for the birth of her first child. C was induced at 35 weeks due to having severe gestational hypertension. It was a very stressful experience for C and could potentially have escalated to an even more unhealthy situation for her. However, Kennah's patience and coaching throughout the induction process and into delivery were nothing short of amazing. She consistently calmed my daughter with just a few soft words of encouragement over and over again without wavering. Kennah was such a safe, calming presence for C that I truly believe she made an enormous impact on her general well-being. C trusted her completely. Keenah was also the most accommodating and attentive nurse I've experienced! I'm not aware of the ratios for L&D staff, but it felt like C was her only patient. Kennah was just as kind and attentive to our family, as well. She has a remarkable sense of family dynamics and was able to read exactly what was needed for C at all times, in terms of visitors and privacy. She listened to C and quickly learned exactly what she needed most through every step of delivery. Kennah's attitude was the same from the start of her shift until the very end. Our family may never encounter her again, but I feel she was a lifesaver on what started as one of the hardest days of our lives. With Kennah's help, the baby arrived healthy, and C's condition improved, making it one of the greatest days of our lives! I'll never be able to adequately express my gratitude, but I can say that Kennah is very passionate about her work and beyond excellent! I would give her a thousand DAISY Awards if I could!
