There was a patient in the ED who needed to be intubated emergently. This child was wearing a Sonic the Hedgehog t-shirt that ended up being cut by staff for removal. Kennedy ordered a Sonic the Hedgehog t-shirt and had it sent to the patient's home, so he would have a new replacement for the shirt he loved while in her care. She cared for not only the patient, but also the family, with compassion and grace and made a hard day/event a little sweeter in the end.
