Kennedy recognized her patient had a surgical site marking on his right eye but the surgical consent read "left eye". She immediately notified the OR and the surgeon came back to correct the marking.

Our standard process in preop involves multiple safety checks along the way. This was just one of them that easily could have been missed. Because of Kennedy's attention to detail, this patient safely went to the OR. Way to go Kennedy!
