My son was admitted into Lake Charles Memorial for back surgery. Our stay there was very emotionally satisfying. As a mother, I was truly nervous about my son's surgery. Then Kennedy Wilson, a nurse who was assigned to care for my son, made our stay there feel very secure and comforting. She had the best bedside manner I have ever seen in a nurse. She relieved all my fears and my son's and made us feel like everything was going to work out fine. And it did. I will never forget her kindness as I kept buzzing her and she never got tired of answering questions as she knew how scared we were. She represented to us what a nurse stands for and not just in medical terms. Her attitude and approach should be something all nurses should strive to achieve.
