I want to take a moment to write a heartfelt letter of thanks and commendation to one of your nurses, Ken Bigelow, in the ICU. Over the weekend, my husband was admitted to Franklin with some heart issues. Ken was his ICU nurse and time and again he went over and above to make a difficult situation bearable. He treated my husband beautifully, but just as importantly in these difficult times, he bent over backward to make sure that I was up-to-date on what was happening and how to deal with it. Ultimately, my husband was transferred to Springfield and the following morning, Ken called down to Springfield, found out how my husband was doing, and then called me to tell me. Talk about 'over and above'!! It is all too easy to forget to say 'thank you' to the people who make such a world of difference to us, especially at times like these, but I want to make sure that you and the administrative staff know what a gem you have in Ken.
