Kenneth Chevillot, RN, BSN, CCRN
I am honored to recognize Kenneth Chevillot's exceptional leadership, clinical expertise, and unwavering dedication to educating and supporting his team. This person is always available to teach, mentor, and guide nurses, consistently creating an environment where staff feel supported, confident, and empowered to provide excellent patient care.
As an educator, he is highly knowledgeable and remains calm and effective under pressure. He has an exceptional ability to quickly assess complex clinical situations and provide clear, practical guidance during high-stress events. His presence at the bedside reassures nurses and reinforces safe, high-quality care.
Recently, he was urgently called to the bedside of a patient in active distress with an open chest wound status post chest tube removal. Kenneth immediately stepped in, knew exactly how to manage the situation, and provided hands-on support and clear direction to the bedside nurse, helping stabilize the patient while ensuring the nurse felt confident and supported throughout the event.
In addition, he was asked to assist with another patient to help troubleshoot a suprapubic catheter. He not only resolved the issue efficiently but also took the time to teach the bedside nurse helpful tips and tricks, turning a challenging situation into a valuable learning opportunity.
Kenneth's leadership style is truly commendable. He is always focused on helping others grow, consistently offering guidance and insight aimed at making you a better nurse—and a better person. His advice is thoughtful, genuine, and impactful, even when it is not solicited. He leads with humility, encouragement, and a sincere commitment to professional development.
