Because of her wonderful personality and easy-going style, I was never anxious about anything that she had to do.
Kensington is one of those special people in the world who is doing what she is supposed to be: caring for others with extreme compassion, care, and empathy. I went in for a complete hip replacement, and I was not nervous. Anyway, when I came out of surgery, I was in quite a bit of pain. Kensington recognized my pain. My fears made sure that she adjusted whatever needed to be appropriately within her abilities, and in a short time, I felt great. Then, in the human aspect, she treated me like I was an extra neighbor, a friend of the family, or somebody she had known for all her life. It made me so happy to see her every time she walked in the door. Because of her wonderful personality and easy-going style, I was never anxious about anything that she had to do.
She also explained to me what would be happening with the Therapist who would be coming in and different people who might be checking up on me, etc. Dynamic personality, caring heart, and extreme professionalism are rare today and should be applauded. One side note: my youngest daughter is having a baby girl on July 1, and after hearing Kensington's name and knowing what a wonderful person she was, I immediately suggested to my daughter that that might be a name she might want to throw into the baby pool of names. Upon leaving, I said, "Well, if they name her Kensington. I’ll have to let you know.” she smiled, gave a brief laugh, and said, "Even if they don’t, let me know that also." Her way of saying keep in touch. I want to know how you’re doing without being intrusive. Keep doing what you’re doing, Kensington. May God bless you, and hopefully, there’s ice cream every night when you come home!
