There was a patient that was in ICU who desperately needed a CorTrack feeding tube placed. However, none of the staff had taken the training needed for placement. Kenny heard me talking with the ED charge about this and volunteered to place the CorTrack, as he was the only person in the hospital with the qualifications. His shift was actually ending, yet without complaining, he stayed late to ensure that this person had everything they needed to receive proper care. He was also able to do this normally uncomfortable procedure in such a proficient way as to make it as pain-free for the patient as possible. Kenny exhibited every virtue of nursing with this act and truly made a difference. The ICU, the patient, and I were so thankful for Kenny that night. He is a literal Rock Star!
