Sick with MRSA for days and bed ridden at home, coming into the hospital I was already stiff and sore. Beginning to dry heave again, I felt like I had pulled or torn a muscle on the inside edge of my right shoulder blade, very difficult to breath deep and lift my right arm. My wife brought my electric massager and massaged it over and over again throughout the day. Late that evening my wife hand massaged it with bio-freeze several times within an hour and it began to feel so much better that I now could sit up and lift my arm above my head with very little pain.
Later my family had left and Keri had begun her shift. Around 10:00 pm the shoulder had begun to lock up again and I was again in tremendous pain, now lying down and unable to move. Keri called the doctor on call and got approval for more pain meds which did not help, by midnight I was in tears with deep pain. Keri asked if there was anything she could do. Asked was there anything that could make it better? I told her about the afternoon and what my wife had done and how much better it had gotten. She asked could she rub it with the bio-freeze again and try to see if it would help again, my response was only if you don't mind and she said absolutely not. She rubbed the muscle, finding a knotted on the edge of the shoulder blade and rubbed that knot for about 20 minutes, feeling extremely better after she had applied several coats of bio-freeze. About an hour later she came to check on me, around 1:30 am. I told her it was so much better but did feel it wasn't just there, she asked 'need me to rub it a little more?' I asked sure you don't mind, she said if it makes your pain better, I don't mind at all. That's why I'm here. I don't recall how long she rubbed that second time but it was a long while and she finished the shoulder pain was gone and allowed me to sleep.
Keri wow, what a fantastic personality. She's not judgmental, so kind and thoughtful of her patients. When she asks is there anything else I can do for you, she has proven she truly means it. Many have shown love from the heart. Keri truly expresses love toward her fellow man.
