Keri is known first and foremost for being an amazing team player on 5MS. There hasn't been a single shift I've worked with Keri when she didn't step in to do a tough PIV insertion, teach a skill to staff, cosign medications, complete a cap change, or access a port.

Keri is beyond flexible. She comes in most nights at 1800 to interact and help out dayshift and then stays well into the nightshift as well. She leads early morning evaluations with preceptors and orientees, even on weekends. She works as an educator into the early hours of the morning and then comes back at sunrise to participate in meetings, add her expertise to committees and push for improvement in our nursing area.

Keri also works bedside shifts each month to keep up on her skills and therefore is consistently a great resource for other nurses. She has been pulled to the floor numerous times when things are tough. Keri has known every policy, disease process, or skill I've ever asked her about. She is an amazing knowledge base for everyone on our unit and is so appreciated in all of her roles.

I want to nominate Keri so that she knows how treasured she is as our night educator. I hope this nomination helps her understand how much she is appreciated and how many of us bedside nurses love and rely on her here on the 5th Floor.
