I was hospitalized for a complete hysterectomy on the same day I was scheduled to leave on a plane for Christmas vacation with my children. I had recently lost my husband, buried a daughter, and sold my home. I was going through one of the most emotional and financially difficult times in my life and to suddenly have Christmas plans thrown aside under the threat of possible uterine cancer left me very distraught.
Kerrie took her time not only to listen with compassion but to step outside of her required role to attempt to make my stay at Banner still hold the feel of family and Christmas. She took me "Christmas Shopping" at the gift shop and made the best of my situation.
