Kerry Black, RN

Kerry has been nothing short of fantastic throughout my post-op stay. After an emergency appendectomy and having to be on the other side of beside care Kerry has gone above and beyond to show me compassionate care as a patient while also treating me with the respect as a colleague as well. I’m a big fan of bedside manner and have enjoyed the middle of the night conversation more than he knows. It has made having to be here much more tolerable when I would much rather be home. Kerry has stayed on top of my pain and shown so much grace in being respectful while allowing me the dignity I need in personal cares like assessing my incisions, listening for bowel sounds, and offering to ask a female to help me to the restroom. Even though I am an employee at MCMH as well, I don’t get MCMH interaction with Inpatient staff in the ER, but the PAV has a gem in Kerry. And I mean that 150%. Even coming from a “salty ER nurse”! Thank you for everything Kerry. Your patients as well as your peers are so lucky to have you.
