Kerry Poindexter went above and beyond what I believe just a regular nurse would do. She was very informative of what my husband was going through and how and what we could do to care and comfort him. While here she treated my husband like family. She held his hand and talked sweetly to him all while tending to his needs. After he passed, she was here immediately. She loved all of us just as if we were family. She then asked if we would like for her to clean my husband before we called the funeral home. She bathed, shaved and dressed him. She gave all the family time and space to grieve and when we were ready she called the funeral home for us. Not only did she call, she stayed with us for hours until they got there and then she helped them get ready and laid him down so that the family would not have to see. She also made all the calls! She called all the medical supply companies about coming to get all of their equipment.
Mrs. Kerry did and thought of all the things that the family was not in the right state of mind to think of or do. It takes a very special person to do what she does every day. She was here with our family during our time of need and that will never be forgotten.
