I am emailing you on behalf of my daughter, B, and myself. B was in the ER Department for 3 days. Amongst all of the nurses who treated her, and were a part of her care, Kersti Passig, stood out the most. She was extremely compassionate and personable. She kept me updated with every bit of communication that she had with the doctor and prepared us in advance for any next steps that were to come. The way she went about things made me feel like, as B’s Mom, I was the leader of decisions in the next steps of care for my daughter, and we did it at a pace that was best for my daughter. No decisions ever felt rushed, forced, or unwanted. She offered every possible solution that made it easier for us, like getting a portable oxygen tank and toilet in our room. She went above just basic medical needs and took time to talk with my daughter and simply ask her what her favorite color was and came in with stickers to cheer up her. It made our stay in the ER feel closer to home. Kersti’s tender, caring and warm nature will not be forgotten.

Last night when she was a triage nurse, she still came in to check on us and offer any help. She assisted with any extra care we needed. No matter how many times she had to put on a pulse oximeter or adjust oxygen tubes on her face, she did it with care and patience. I cannot stress to you enough what a great nurse she is. We are overwhelmed with emotion. She made a scary stay a more comforting one. Please let her know we send all our utmost gratitude and love towards her, and we hope that she gets a special award/recognition for how amazing she is. You can’t teach who Kersti is and how she treated us. We are blessed to have crossed paths with her. Thank you.
