Ketia is phenomenal and helps so much more than in her area.
Ketia spends much of her time educating, and assisting both patients and doctors with so much compassion & patience, she excels in self-educating and balancing the multitude of responsibilities set in front of her daily. She is the epitome of Patient Care first!

Ketia is phenomenal and helps so much more than in her area. One of the latest things she's helped with is being a superuser for EPIC, which is sorely needed in our clinic. She is always willing to help with this and try to make everyone else's life easier.

Ms. Zuckschwerdt has been an outstanding RN in the HCOC who exemplifies the very best of the mission, values, and work ethic we cherish at UofL Health. Over the last 2 years, she has worked well beyond her "job description" to provide excellent patient care and service. She has done this in multiple ways –

She took the lead during the transition to EPIC to help develop the EHR friendly to Endocrinology team and trained the team members to work with the system.

In addition to working with Endocrinology, she has helped others "troubleshoot" in the Clinic. She has worked to recertify the Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support program with the American Diabetes Program.

Ketia has worked with other members of the UofL Health diabetes care and nutrition team to obtain recognition for their program under the ADA Certification. She has played a lead role in moving the CF Diabetes Program from HCOC to UL Hospital.

She has always stepped in to help providers with scheduling, and communication with patients, and Ketia has been outstanding in providing patient education in diverse fields such as Transgender Medicine, CF Diabetes, Insulin Pump, Continuous Glucose Monitoring, etc.

Being an Endocrine Nurse involves coordinating multiple services provided by several disciplines. She has been at the core of organizing these for our patients. Her interpersonal skills make her excel at this.

More recently, Ketia has been on the Committee to improve access and has also been working on improving scheduling for Endocrinology at UofL Health. She has worked with the AIM Clinic to provide better access and care by helping Endocrinology Fellows navigate the challenges in the system.

I can write a lot more, but the above description to outline some of the things that Ketia does should suffice to convince everyone that she is worthy of The DAISY Award.
