My sister was unexpectedly flown down after complications of an AVM brain bleed and ITP. Unfortunately, she didn't make it. Even in times of grief, I noticed the respect Keun gave her, even if she wasn't going to pull through, talking to her and explaining what the nurses were doing, like adjusting blankets and medications, cleaning the blood off her face, and putting Vaseline on her lips. Little things to show acknowledgment that she was a person and not just a dying body on a bed. Her whole team was terrific; they did everything possible to ensure she was comfortable.
