The night before surgery, I didn’t sleep because I was having panic attacks the entire night, and all of my anxiety went away once Kevin entered the room. He was so kind, funny, and explained everything that was happening.

Understanding everything happening around me is what calms my anxiety. It is also important for me to feel safe and secure with my providers, and seeing Kevin and other medical professionals coming in wearing LGBTQIA+ and racial justice affirming pins and buttons also made me feel very comfortable.
