Medical Oncology had a patient with Stage III cancer. She had been on our unit for several weeks and was having a very “rough” day and was depressed. Kevin, who had been pulled to another unit, volunteered his whole lunch break to come speak to her regarding his journey with cancer and even brought her flowers and told her that he was available to speak with her anytime.

She was so thankful and inspired that she calls him her “inspiration nurse.”

Thank you Kevin for this act of kindness. He rises above every day with his compassionate care.
