I am writing to nominate our nurse, Kevin, for the DAISY Award. Kevin has consistently demonstrated exceptional care and professionalism throughout this entire experience. Despite a demanding workload, from drawing labs to assisting with intubation, he remained attentive, communicative, and fully present. Kevin took the time to clearly explain each step of the process and patiently addressed every question and concern we had. His willingness to do the aforementioned provided great relief and comfort during this stressful time, which means the world to us as family members. Beyond his clinical expertise, Kevin’s upbeat and charismatic demeanor brought a sense of calm and reassurance. While we understand this is his job, it’s clear that he has gone above and beyond. We believe he is more than deserving of recognition through this reward.
