My stepson became unconscious at Collinsville, IL McDonald’s after riding his bicycle to the restaurant. (I was not present as his father & I live in Florida, but the story was told to us). Kevin was in the Mcdonald's with his son (per the McDonald’s manager) when my stepson fell to the ground. We assume Kevin checked for a pulse, and in its absence, began compressions & 911 was called. Simply, Kevin saved our son’s life. God bless him. He gave our son a survival chance. He was in V-fib and was defibrillated twice. Without Kevin’s astute response, courage & skill, our son may not have lived. We are truly grateful and are requesting you recognize him for this heroic out-of-hospital rescue!
