Throughout our stay, Kevin made sure to check up on my dad constantly and gave extra care for my him. When doctors were putting weights on my dad's broken leg, Kevin stayed to help and made sure he was doing well. Even when Kevin wasn't my dad's assigned nurse, he still came to check up on my dad ensuring everything was good! His dedication to his career is going to take him far in life. We were beyond thankful to have Kevin as a nurse for my father.

My family and I are beyond thankful for Kevin, who was my daily nurse and was very caring and gave me adequate care always. Kevin was not only loving and caring but was very respectful, and very professional and so patient with my care and needs. I would like to continue to have Kevin as my nurse as he is very loving and keeps us up with the daily status. Kevin has a very sweet heart. I am very thankful.

What is a good nurse? A good nurse is caring, understanding, non-judgmental and has a strong ability to empathize with patients from all walks of life. Registered nurses deal with the sick and injured and their families on a daily basis, and they need to be able to show them that they truly care about their situations.
Kevin Hsiao came to us in January to start his Med-Surg/ Orientation. He seemed a little shy at first but once he was comfortable he came out of his shell. Soon he will leave us and go to the ICU but no matter where he goes I'm confident he will succeed because he is a good nurse. How do I know? All you have to do is listen to the patient and family members in these stories and how they describe Kevin; a family member described Kevin as very caring, loving respectful, very professional and patient. Another patient said he stuck around to make sure he was okay. He gave them extra care, checked up on them even when not their nurse. I would also add he is a team player who is always willing to help his coworkers.
If we go back and reflect on what makes a good nurse, Kevin checks all the boxes. Nurses work hard every day and deal with different situations but at the end of the day, their professionalism and caring attitude make them great.
