Kevin took great care of my partner when he was sick. He was so attentive in helping us get our questions to the doctor.  He took us through explaining how the meds would affect his body, gave us the best understanding of what was going on, and offered us sympathy and compassion when we were confused and worried for our loved one.  He helped us bathe him, frequently checked on him, and had the absolutely BEST bedside manner we have ever received.  We feel like Kevin went above and beyond in the following:

Compassion
Bedside manner
Treating the family with a warm welcome
Breaking things down so we could understand
Communicate with the doctors on our behalf with requests
Had energy and enthusiasm for helping his patients
Skillfully handled any problems that arose
Finding solutions in times of crisis

His demeanor and attitude made us feel happy when he was on our shift taking care of my partner.  You could tell Kevin cared about connecting with his patients and his family outside of his role and really took the time to meet the needs and concerns of the patient and his family.  We truly wish that Kevin would be recognized as he so deserves.  If I ever was admitted, I would be so comforted knowing that I have an awesome nurse.  He treats everyone like family.
