When my mother came up from the ED late at night, Kevin was kind and compassionate as her nurse. He made sure during the night that all the equipment in her room was checked and ready to use in case of an emergency. Before going off shift, he heard her cough and came to check her and suctioned her so she could breathe better. The next day she aspirated, and the SWAT team came to help as well as the nurses. Kevin had all the equipment in her room, ready to use, and the team managed to clear what had stuck in her throat. This is a simple description because I don't know the proper terminology. I do know that seconds were critical in helping my mother and that Kevin's work and attention to detail cleared the way to save my mother. My greatest appreciation for his thorough, complete work, done with empathy for us! I will never forget him and how he helped my mother. Thank you!
