Kevin Ronne 2026, BS/ADN
Kevin had 3 nominations;
We had a patient come in with cardiac arrest. She had no family next-of-kin listed in her chart or with the facility she came from. Unfortunately, this patient was intubated and unable to make decisions for herself, a very sad situation as her prognosis was not good.
After I spoke with her home facility twice, I was still no further in knowing if she had any family to know that she was here. The night she came in, the only thing I knew was that she had no family.
Kevin took over her care the following morning. He happened to remember seeing her at church some time ago; he told me. He knew a little bit about her story, and he then went to great lengths to contact people to find her family member.
Kevin not only gave her exceptional care, but he went above and beyond to ensure her family knew about her. Kevin is an exceptional nurse and a blessing to our department as a whole.

He went above and beyond to find family for a patient who was unable to talk and very ill. He talked to people to find someone who knew this patient and could help. He eventually found a brother and brother-in-law for this very ill patient.

Our family member came here from North Platte on a ventilator. He had pneumonia and end-stage COPD. Kevin was on top of things, not only did he give excellent care to our family member, but to us by explaining things and answering all questions with care and compassion.
He is an excellent nurse and caring person. I want to say thank you, Kevin, a million times, and God bless you.
