I had to bring my husband into the ER for stomach pain. The computers were down and the ER was packed. We were in the waiting room area for 5 hours during that time. I watched Kevin helping so many different people, apologizing over and over for the delays. While people kept complaining about waiting so long, at 3 hours in I was worried about my husband's sugar level. Kevin stopped and took the time to take his sugar level! He could see my husband was in increasing pain. He moved him up above some less critical patients. At 5 hours, my husband could no longer sit. Kevin talked to someone and got him a bed, all the while still checking in people. He kept apologizing and helping everyone.
My husband ended up having emergency surgery but I will never forget how Kevin helped not just us but everyone on the day the computers were down. He is an angel.
