I would like to recognize the entire 2 E team for the excellent care they consistently provide to my Grandma. Although they are all wonderful, I would like Khaila Tan RN from 2 East to be recognized for the exceptional care she provided my Grandma during her stay. After discovering that Grandma was a Rapid Response throughout the night, I became nervous and scared. When I called the unit, Khaila Tan took her time and went above and beyond in ensuring I was fully informed about my Grandma's care. She was extremely passionate, caring, and supportive and assured me that Grandma was doing better and a physician would call to update me. I felt at ease knowing Khaila was the nurse, especially since she had Grandma her previous days.

Thanks to Khaila's compassionate care, I did receive a call ten minutes after our conversation. Being a nurse myself, I know how hard it can be to deal with stressful family members. Yet how important it is to take the time and speak to families and patients, updating them and going that extra mile comforting them, and she did just that! After I talked to the physician, Khaila called me to check to see if I had received a call and if I had any other questions. She is a true example of what nursing is about, and has exceptional dedication to the nursing profession.
