I can honestly say I've never had better care than the care that I received while inpatient on V2. While every single nurse was exceptional- I must write about RN Khanh-Van Tran. She cared for me on every level. She loves her job and knows her stuff. I could tell that she had read up on what was going on day-to-day with me. This made me feel very safe and in good hands because there were daily changes. She took the initiative to research or ask about little things like "why I taste the IV flushes in my mouth and throat" and more important things.
Khanh-Van had so much empathy for me and all that I was going through. It really showed. Her relationships and teamwork with other nurses were amazing and I was never wanting for anything. Khanh-Van is a nurse who dots her i's and crosses her t's. Everything was done properly and completely. I really felt like I could relax and just be taken care of. I felt safe. I could also ask her any questions I had and know that she would find the answer even if she had to call a doctor.
I felt comfortable to cry or be annoyed or just be miserable. I knew she understood and would do anything she could to make me feel better and I honestly hold this RN in such high regard and am so glad that she is here at the LBVA taking care of veterans. We are so lucky to have her.
