I would like to nominate a nurse who cared for my dad for a DAISY Award. During one of the most frightening and difficult moments our family has ever faced, my dad had a traumatic heart attack, and she provided truly exceptional care. She was compassionate, attentive, and deeply caring in every interaction. She not only tended to my dad’s medical needs with professionalism and skill, but also treated him with dignity, ensuring he had both privacy and the assistance he needed while he was so vulnerable. What stood out just as much was how she cared for our entire family. She kept all of us informed with clear and timely updates, which brought comfort and reassurance during an incredibly stressful time. Her ability to balance clinical excellence with genuine empathy made a lasting impact on all of us. We will never forget the kindness and dedication she showed. She truly embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award and is an excellent nurse who went above and beyond while still caring for all of her other patients. We are so grateful she was there for my dad when he needed it most.
