There are numerous situations in which Kiam has clearly demonstrated that she both meets and exceeds the criteria for the DAISY Award. One situation stands out.
Kiam was assigned to care for one of my twins on this particular day. His heart rate and biox quickly dropped and Kiam calmly and professionally sprang into action. Although my son was turning blue before my eyes, Kiam tended to him, notified his doctor, and calmed me all at the same time. And he quickly stabilized.
Kiam has made a lasting impact on our lives. Her professionalism, compassion, knowledge, selflessness, and dedication are unmatched. We are forever grateful for the care she provided to our boys.
