Kiara Morelli

Kiara deserves this award because she has demonstrated a commitment to her patients, her peers, and all students who will come after her by lending her perspective and compassion to the student governing body for the School of Nursing. Kiara's peers elected her based on a relationship of trust and respect to carry their interests and concerns forward. She is dedicated to paving pathways that improve how students experience their education, benefiting not only the OHSU community (patients, staff, and students) but also patients and communities wherever our students' journeys carry them. She is committed to high-quality, compassionate, and equitable care for all patients. Further evidence supporting her commitment is her summer role serving as a research assistant to the School of Nursing faculty. Kiara holds herself to high bars of achievement both in the classroom and out. These skills will translate into strong patient advocacy as she matriculates from our program.
