Kiara has excelled as a nurse and exceeded our expectations during her time here at ROPH. She not only consistently focuses on her patients' needs but also is a pleasure to work with. She works hard, always picking up shifts when hours are available, and takes the time to get to know other staff members on our team. Most importantly, however, she puts her patients first and demonstrates compassion and integrity with all of her patients. I have been impressed with her critical thinking skills and her ability to creatively solve problems. When confronted with a challenge, she responds professionally, responsibly, and ethically. Furthermore, she demonstrates flexibility and proactive leadership. She saw a need for education and resources surrounding sexual assault patients in our ER and took it upon herself to create a committee to address this need. She has been proactive and has worked hard with all members of the leadership team in order to bring this issue to light. She has created an environment of teaching and learning not only within the ER but hospital-wide.
