Kiera Baswell, RN

Kiera Baswell serves as a nurse in the CCU. Kiera knew her patient was 99 and would be turning 100 years old during her admission at BBMC. Kiera was not scheduled to work on her patient’s birthday and tried to get a shift but was unable to. In spite of this, she bought a cake and all the decorations for a birthday party and brought them to the hospital so the patient would be able to celebrate her milestone birthday. The family was in tears and overjoyed by the celebration. This nomination came in from her nurse manager. He states, "This was a beautiful act of kindness and something I'll never forget as a leader."
