Kiera Ervin, RN
Kiera went above and beyond as my mom’s RN during her stay at VHC. I kept calling from long distance and when Kiera couldn’t pick up, she recognized the number and proactively called me to give me a status update. She stayed late one shift to help me FaceTime with my mother when it wasn’t clear when I was going to see her again. I saw my mother smile and it was truly a priceless moment. My mother had all sorts of needs to be comfortable, excessive blankets, warm water to drink, etc. and I felt so apologetic to make constant requests to an RN, but Kiera never made me, or my mother, feel like an imposition. She was forthcoming with the technical information, seemed exceptionally competent medically, as well as exuding genuine compassion and caring. Kiera stood out to me as an exceptional caregiver.
