Kim D Price, RN

I was diagnosed with colon cancer. It was discovered on CT that I had a softball size tumor in my transverse colon. I was admitted to 5E and subsequently had a colon resection. Although everyone who cared for me went above and beyond and provided excellent care, Kim was a rockstar! See, I’m an RN myself and I know the pressures and demands she’s under. I was treated with respect and kindness. She attended to every need or want with a smile and never acted as though I was a bother. I know the place was packed. I know she had multiple patients who constantly needed her but she never showed an ounce of bother. I just wanted to take a second to commend the work that she and her fellow coworkers are doing on 5E. Jackson is my hospital and Kim is one reason why!

Kim took time out of her busy schedule to walk with me around the hall and encouraged me to move around. I had an accident while there and she helped me get cleaned up in a professional manner and talked me through that embarrassing situation.
