Kim is often available to counsel as well as cry with her staff during any crisis, despite her daily struggles. I would deem her a hero due to her perseverance and never wanting to give up. She encourages staff to strive to be the best that they can, pushing them for excellence when they feel they have reached their limit. Kim has the innate ability to see other's capabilities before they are aware of them themselves.
Kim is a champion when it comes to leader rounding, visible on the unit seeking out staff opinions and input. She communicates our ER goals as well as our desires for a better unit. Kim expects nothing but the best care for our patients, working alongside our staff whenever available to ensure she has firsthand knowledge of their practice.
Kim is visible throughout the organization. She is known and well respected for her fair and compassionate treatments of her patients, staff, and peers. She is always available for a kind word, gesture, and much-needed hug. She is active in the community and has strong relationships built with our EMS and Firefighters, ensuring we all work together to do what is right for our patients within the community.
