Kim Delaney was my day shift nurse the day of my discharge. Before the doctor’s rounds, she went over with me in detail the milestones I had reached that indicated how I was recovering. Without my asking, she volunteered to have sent up a breakfast a bit more substantial than the plain oatmeal I originally received. I really appreciated that!

Once the doctor had visited and approved my discharge, Kim sat down with us and carefully went over all of the literature and home care instructions. She explained the prescriptions the doctor had left, the diet guidelines as well as how and why to do the other tasks noted. As with Mike, I never felt Kim was rushed or needed to get to something else. She cared about us and was concerned that we had what we needed. Mine was the most thorough but efficient and speedy discharge I have ever observed.
