During my dad's hospital stay, nurse Kim was the first nurse we encountered as we were being brought to my dad's room. From the very beginning, she was nice and polite, greeting us and introducing herself. During my dad's hospital stay, he was unstable and had an altered mental status. Due to this, my mother and I were very upset, and Nurse Kim was assuring and comforting us in any way possible.

She assessed my dad and was very patient with him. She even got him to smile when we least expected him to. During our stay, she made sure we had everything we needed and that we had no questions or concerns. Due to my dad's situation, my mom and I were very upset, and it was visibly shown. Nurse Kim talked to both me and my mom and made sure we knew it was okay to be upset, but to be strong and push through this terrible situation, not only for my dad but for ourselves.

She talked to me specifically about my future nursing plans and assured me that I would do amazing in the healthcare field. Due to my dad's altered mental status during his stay, he couldn’t remember much of it, but the one person he did remember was nurse Kim. He remembered her during his initial assessment and how caring she was towards him. My mother and I were both surprised as he couldn’t remember much about his hospital stay, but he remembered Nurse Kim in detail due to her care and compassion.

Nurse Kim had a huge impact on our lives, as we will always remember her for her dedication as a nurse

Thank you, Kim, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
