After 2 days of freezing in my room, wrapped in 3 blankets, at 7 am Friday, my night nurse introduced me to my new nurse for the day, Wonder Woman. I could see her assessing the situation and said she had to say "Good morning" to others and would be right back. Well, she did.
Kim noticed I had a pitcher of water, but no glass, well she brought 2. She called maintenance to fix the freezing air. She brought a longer heart monitor cord seeing the one I had was too short. She asked how long was the monitor attached, I said 2 days. She said, not good. She went and brought back a new ET Phone Home tip. She had noticed my fingertip was wilted. Also noticed I was right-handed and recommended putting it on my left hand for easier movement.
Well within a few hours I came out of my 2 days of 3 blanket cocoon. There were more incidents of nursing acts that don't come to me at this moment but instantly jump-started my recovery.
Thank you to all, especially Kim Henry!

Thank you, Kim, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
