Kim Larson came to ECU as an already quite adept educator and public health nursing expert.  When she joined the community health group, she brought an area of expertise (global nursing) that we needed.  She has become a Health Science campus leader and facilitator for other disciplines as well to learn first-hand about international nursing.  She works collaboratively with nursing students and faculty along with numerous other campus students and faculty as they learn together, side by side, about health care in other parts of the world.  Kim also took on the area of honors students and has given way more than 40 hours per week of herself to working with these students on their programs of study.  Her enthusiasm is contagious......where she gets her energy I 'm not sure, but she never complains about the extra hours she spends with the students in these two vitally important areas of our College.  Her example of caring and  her model of what a professional nurse does are great for our students, both graduate and undergraduate to experience.
