Kim is a dedicated and knowledgeable nurse in our surgery department. She works in our PACU area, helping to admit and discharge endoscopy procedure patients. She is dedicated to being comforting and sensitive to our patients' needs.

She really shines when she is doing admissions for the day, as each patient is given her undivided attention, and she provides compassionate care to each patient she meets. We recently had a patient come in who was having an endoscopic procedure that needed extra help and attention to complete her prep. Kim was right there to help explain things to the patient and assist with the last step of the prep.

Not once did Kim appear impatient or put off with the patient who needed a little extra attention, help, and teaching. Kim was professional the whole time while providing genuinely compassionate care for this patient. She helped to put the patient at ease that the prep would be completed correctly and adequately. The patient was very appreciative of Kim and her taking the extra time to assist her. Kim is a great team member to have and work with.
