She is the Christus Difference as she promotes excellence and dignity by making sure the patients are as clean and comfortable as possible.
Kim promotes excellence and dignity, she makes sure all of her patients are bathed, clean and ready for the day every shift no matter what is going on, she makes sure they are comfortable and taken care of before she leaves the room. She never walks by a call light, regardless of whether the patient is hers or somebody else's. She is always willing to help others. Kim is awesome and amazing because she is willing to help anyone, whether staff or patients. She is the Christus Difference as she promotes excellence and dignity by making sure the patients are as clean and comfortable as possible. Excellence. You tend to fly under the radar. You are calm! You are on point and ready for anything that comes through our doors, and you do it with a can-do mindset. Your focus is patient safety at every turn. Recently, a nurse had a patient who had a heparin drip. You took time to review her calculations and determine the concentrations were wrong. This led to a great catch with no harm to the patient. Thank you for stewarding your knowledge and years of experience to other nurses! Your help with unit audits is also very appreciated. Your dedication to our line utilization and protocols is evident and has resulted in our unit being diligent to following best practices and this translates to great results. Your calm presence in any situation is unlike many nurses. It is always appreciated and noted, especially on challenging and difficult days. Truly, it makes all the difference in how the day goes! Everything runs smoothly. You were made for critical care. Crisis is where you thrive and shine. No matter what is going on, you seek to stand up for what is right. For the patient, for another nurse, for the unit. Integrity is another core value that you display every day. You treat everyone the same. Every patient is a VIP. You look for opportunities to build others up. You also see qualities in others that others often miss or overlook. You take time to invest in these nurses. You help to grow them into a critical care nurse. When we try to give you credit, you point the recognition to others. You are not one for the spotlight, this is a true quality of a humble servant.
