May 2017 Honoree
kim morgan, RN
When I was notified at home that my husband was non-responsive, I was deeply concerned. I could hear in Kim's voice that she was genuinely worried. I told her that he speaks Polish 80% of the time since his dementia has progressed. Kim ordered an interpreter there and then. I was but a voice on the phone, and it would have been easy to marginalize such statements not given face to face. When I got to the hospital an interpreter was already present in my husband's room. Many other small yet major acts of compassion came naturally from Kim.
Thank you, Kim, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
