As a nurse navigator, Kim called us the night before the scheduled surgery to review instructions, allow us to ask questions, confirm directions, etc. On the day of surgery, she greeted me in the atrium to see if I had any additional questions. She provided her cell phone number which was helpful and allowed us to communicate the day of surgery and even after discharge with questions. She was extremely helpful and an excellent member of the team.
It was immensely helpful to have someone with her background and skills available to the patient and family. She took the necessary time and answered questions and we never felt rushed or felt like an inconvenience. Kim is an outstanding member of the orthopedic team.
