Kim was nominated by the mother of a patient who presented to the emergency room after being instructed by her pediatrician to go. The patient was in a great deal of pain, nauseated, and scared. Kim pulled all resources available to ease the patient’s anxiety and was able to start the patient’s IV without the patient even feeling anything or really being aware it happened. The mother of the patient said she had never seen anyone comfort her child with such ease.
