Although I had previously had surgery several times in several different facilities and also felt comfortable with the surgery I was about to have, there is always some anxiety. From the time I arrived until the time surgery was over and we left to go home, Kimberly was there for me. She kept me informed of everything she was doing and where I was in the queue for surgery. Even when she started an IV, she went out of her way to both keep me informed and to make sure I experienced as little discomfort as possible. I assume that she had other patients she was also caring for during this time. Kimberly though, due to her caring, calming attentive attitude made me feel like I was the only person in her world while I was there. Throughout the day and particularly before surgery, she exhibited an appropriate amount of humor along with her caring compassionate attitude. This humor was very welcome in that it went a really long way to calm my anxiety.
