kim raines, RN
Kim Raines has been an invaluable team member and mentor for both employees of Beaufort Memorial Hospital and the patients served by the facility. She has been a part of the Beaufort Memorial Hospital family for 25 years and has touched the hearts of many different departments, employees, and patients. She now is the Lead Cardiac Nurse for Cardiopulmonary Rehab with LifeFit.
She goes above and beyond with helping our patients not only from a health standpoint but from a personal and emotional standpoint. She has spent many weekends and afternoons, off the clock, meeting with current and past patients coping with their stressors, whether it is financially, emotionally, or spiritually. Almost every week she has a patient come in just to talk and thank her for all her hard work and commitment to them. Kim has gone to patient's churches to give speeches on health related topics, spent countless hours on the phone speaking to distressed patients, and has even volunteered to stand in the operating room with a patient that was worried about an operation. She even stuck by their side during recovery (on her own time).
She is a shining example of what a nurse should be: compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuine. Even from a personal standpoint, Kim has helped others grow in their position and is quick to lend a hand or give words of wisdom and encouragement. She is an excellent co-worker and a phenomenal nurse.
