Kim was discharging a patient after an extensive 47 day stay in the Critical Care Unit. Knowing the patient's family had not seen him for 47 days, Kim coordinated with Case Management to have the patient's family stand by the door with masks on so they would be able to see the patient leave the unit. After the patient left and the COVID discharge music was played overhead, Kim brought the family to the Critical Care Unit heart window and allowed the family to hang the patient's COVID discharge/transfer heart. The family was incredibly grateful and there was not a dry eye.
