Have you ever been on a subway in New York City? The wind scattering old newspapers, the deafening noise of each train, the stench of stale urine, the whiplash from people shoving each other trying to get on and off the subway? Have you seen a person walking relaxed unfazed by the chaos around them in that very same subway? That person is undoubtedly Kim Tomlinson.
Kim has been a calming force on night shift since joining the 7-East Team. She is incredibly helpful, able to navigate HMC's system; she takes tough patients and magically keeps her cool. As a charge nurse she is able to keep the floor mellow even on the most chaotic nights, she is a wealth of resources, and is incredible when caring for patients. She is frequently given patients who are hard to work with and is able to make progress in their care. Patients and families alike respect her and feel well cared for under her watchful eyes. She is quick to offer a smile or a knowing head shake, and never seems exhausted. For this and so many other reasons we are so grateful to have her as part of our 7-East team.
